The Desiderium Collective

There are moments in life when something changes. A loss. A transition. A before and an after you did not choose.

What often follows is a kind of longing. For what was. For what feels uncertain now. For a sense of direction moving forward.

That’s why I chose the word “desiderium” for my practice.

Coming from the root word of desire, desiderium, is to desire to long for something that has been lost or that will never be again.

This feeling sits underneath all of the work I do.

I’m Krystina Ptasinski. I’m a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and End of Life Planner based in Washington state. I support people as they make sense of loss, change, and what comes next, both emotionally and practically.

My work has two paths: Mental Health Counseling and End of Life Planning. Let’s figure out which way is best for you.

If you’re looking for counseling support

Maybe you have a sense that something needs care, even if you are not sure how to describe it yet.

You might be feeling overwhelmed or emotionally worn down. Or maybe you’re carrying grief, trauma, addiction, or tension in your relationships.

My counseling practice offers a steady place to pause, reflect, sit with, and make sense of what you are experiencing.

We focus on helping you feel more grounded and supported as you move through what is hard.

If you are looking for therapy and emotional support, you can begin here.

If you’re navigating loss or planning ahead

You may be facing the impending loss of someone you love. Or you may already be living in the aftermath, trying to make sense of what comes next.

Grief can feel disorienting. Decisions still need to be made, even when you are emotionally exhausted.

Families can struggle. Money can complicate things. And the weight of it all can feel isolating.

End of Life Planning offers a guide through this season.

A simple handbook and a thoughtful process that helps you tend to both the emotional and practical parts of loss.

In this work, I help you navigate things like decision-making, belongings, inheritance, and family dynamics while also honoring your grief and the memory of your loved one.

If you are looking for support as you navigate loss, legacy, or planning ahead, you can begin here.

At the heart of this work is the belief that healing is not just about surviving what happened. Healing is about finding meaning, connection, and hope in what comes next.
